Description

Discover how to grow your own vines, and turn your hand to winemaking with this one-day course.

Join award-winning winemaker, Kieron Atkinson, and immerse yourself in the world of wine, as you learn how to make your very own.

This course will begin at the School for a welcome and introduction with refreshments and freshly baked pastries, before departing for Renishaw Hall, where the morning session will be spent in a vineyard.

Throughout the morning class students will learn the techniques to successfully growing grapes in the UK, as they participate in pruning, bud rubbing, tucking-in, de-leafing and harvesting.

The class will then head back to the School for a freshly prepared, seasonal lunch and the afternoon session.

During the afternoon students will learn wine making techniques via presentations and Kieron will explain how both still and sparkling wine is produced. There will be a grand tasting of some of the UK’s finest wines.
